Cintoo is a fast-growing start-up, based in France and US, developing a SaaS platform at the convergence of Reality Capture and Digital Twins. We are searching for flexible go-getters who welcome the challenge of meeting the needs of a fast-growing business. Cintoo Cloud improves the performance and efficiency with a complete cloud-based, collaborative Scan & BIM platform to manage and distribute Reality Capture data, such as laser scans, with no compromise on accuracy. To date over 400 companies and 50,000 users in 40 countries have uploaded over 3 hundred square kilometers on active projects, across hundreds of sites in many countries spanning industries such as manufacturing, construction and energy.

We are seeking, for a permanent position (CDI), a talented and passionate Ph.D. or equivalent, specializing in Mesh and Point Cloud Processing and analysis. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the development of algorithms and methodologies for transforming point clouds into meshes, as well as expertise in mesh processing. The primary focus of this role will be to contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of 3D data processing, with a specific emphasis on advancing methods for efficient point cloud transformation and mesh simplification.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize algorithms for the transformation of point clouds into meshes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and robustness. 
  • Design and develop techniques for processing and simplifying meshes to meet specific application requirements. 
  • Analyse and optimize the performance of these solutions. 
  • Collaborate with the other developers to ship coherent and robust products. 
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field of 3D data processing, contributing innovative ideas and approaches to address complex challenges. 


Requirements:

  • Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Computer Graphics or a related field with a focus on 3D data processing, mesh generation, or point cloud processing. 
  • Strong background in algorithm development, particularly in the context of point cloud transformation and mesh processing.  
  • Proficient in programming languages, especially C++ and Python. 
  • Familiarity with relevant libraries, frameworks, and tools in the field of 3D computer graphics and computational geometry. 
  • Willing to learn and progress. 
  • Self-reliance, innovative spirit, team player. 
  • Good level in English. 
  • Work permit for France. 


Optional skills:

  • Understanding and knowledge of algorithms founded on mathematical methods. 
  • Experience in developing production ready code (versioning, clean code, unit tests, etc) 


We are based in Sophia-Antipolis (South of France, 300 days of sunshine per year, great place to be!) Working remotely from anywhere in France is possible but Hybrid is preferred.
